FULOKOJA Releases Full Registration and Clearance Guidelines for Newly Admitted Students, 2025/2026 Academic Session

The Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has officially released comprehensive registration and clearance procedures for all newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session. This crucial announcement serves as a roadmap for fresh students—both UTME and Direct Entry—on how to properly confirm their admission, pay necessary fees, complete online registration, and undergo physical clearance at the university.

The management of FULOKOJA emphasized that the process is to ensure a seamless transition for new intakes into the university system while maintaining high standards of transparency, accountability, and orderliness in the admission process.

1. Admission Confirmation and Acceptance of Offer

All newly admitted students are required to confirm their admission through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). After confirming their admission on CAPS, students should proceed to the university’s admission portal to formally accept their offer of admission.

Upon successful login with their JAMB registration number, students are expected to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of ₦20,000 through the official university payment portal using the REMITA system. Payment can be made either online with a debit card or directly in any commercial bank.

After completing the payment, students must print their Admission Letter and Letter of Undertaking, which will be presented during physical clearance.

2. Uploading and Verification of O’Level Results

To ensure complete documentation and verification, every new student must upload a valid copy of their O’Level result on the university portal.

  • For WAEC candidates: Students must create a personal account on the WAEC portal and share their digital certificate using the share feature provided.
  • For NECO or NABTEB candidates: Students are to visit the NECO result verification site and validate their token payment, after which the result verification reference should be submitted on the university’s portal.

Students are strongly advised to verify that their uploaded results are accurate and correspond with those submitted during the admission process, as any discrepancy may lead to automatic disqualification.

3. Payment of School Charges

Once the acceptance process is completed, students should log in to the Student Portal using their JAMB registration number. From the menu, they should navigate to the “Fees” section, select the appropriate academic session, and click “Pay Now.”

All school fees are payable through the REMITA platform, after which students can print their School Charges Receipt for documentation.

Immediately after payment, students must print the Student Bio-Data Form (Form 01), which is an essential document for clearance and departmental registration.

4. Physical Registration and Medical Clearance

Upon resumption, all new students are required to report physically to the university for their clearance and medical screening. One of the primary requirements for clearance is a Medical Certificate of Fitness, which must be obtained from the FULOKOJA Health Services Centre.

Students are also encouraged to undergo all necessary medical examinations as stipulated by the health centre, as no student will be cleared without a valid certificate of fitness.

5. Course Registration Procedures

After successful medical and departmental clearance, students can proceed with online course registration via the Student Portal. The steps include:

  • Logging in with their credentials.
  • Navigating to “Course Registration.”
  • Selecting the appropriate semester and registering all compulsory and elective courses.
  • Printing the registered course form to confirm successful registration status.

The printed course form will be signed and submitted to the department as part of the clearance process.
