The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) Student Union Government (SUG) has officially announced a revised schedule for the highly anticipated 2025/2026 hostel online booking exercise. The latest update, released through the Office of the Public Relations Officer, brings a slight but important adjustment to the earlier timetable shared with students.
This new announcement aims to ensure a smooth, well-coordinated accommodation booking process for both newly admitted and returning students, especially as preparations for the new academic session intensify across the institution.
Revised Booking Schedule for New and Returning Students
In the updated timetable issued on 2nd December 2025, the SUG revealed fresh dates for the commencement of hostel booking:
Hostel Booking for Newly Admitted Students
New students will now begin their online hostel booking on Friday, 5th December 2025, starting at 11:00 AM.
This adjustment gives fresh students additional time to finalize school fee payments and prepare for the accommodation process without pressure.
Hostel Booking for Returning Students
Returning students are scheduled to begin their booking on Monday, 8th December 2025, also at 11:00 AM.
The SUG assures that this timing was carefully chosen to avoid server congestion and to improve the overall experience of the booking platform.
Earlier Guidelines Remain Unchanged
While announcing the revised dates, the SUG clarified that all instructions and booking guidelines previously communicated remain valid. Students are strongly advised to follow the updated timetable strictly in order to avoid complications or loss of preferred hostel slots.
This reaffirms the union’s commitment to ensuring a transparent and stress-free hostel allocation process.
SUG Leaders Reaffirm Commitment to Students’ Welfare
The press release was jointly signed by key SUG executives, including the Secretary General, President, and Public Relations Officer. Their collective endorsement underscores the administration’s dedication to improving student experience, particularly regarding accommodation — one of the most sensitive aspects of campus life.
The Pace Administration expressed gratitude for students’ patience and cooperation, assuring that every adjustment is made in the best interest of the FUTMINNA community.
What Students Should Do Ahead of the Booking Dates
To prepare for the upcoming booking exercise, students are encouraged to:
- Confirm that their school fees have been fully paid, as only students who have completed payment will have access to the booking portal.
- Ensure a stable internet connection during the booking time to avoid interruptions.
- Review past booking guidelines and prepare required information ahead of time.
- Log in early to increase their chances of securing a preferred hostel space.
With the new academic session fast approaching, timely preparation will make the hostel allocation process faster and more efficient.
