Important Information for Graduands
The university has issued strict guidelines to ensure a smooth and orderly convocation process. Graduands are strongly advised to comply with the following instructions:
Payments
- All required payments must be made into the official FUT Minna TSA account with the Central Bank of Nigeria, as directed by the university.
Physical Attendance
- Graduands must be physically present at the convocation ceremony to receive certificates and prizes, where applicable.
Requirements for Collection of Original Certificates
Graduands are expected to present the following documents immediately after the convocation ceremony:
- Original statement of results previously issued by the university (where applicable).
- Final-year clearance form duly signed by all relevant offices.
- Final-year identity card or a valid letter of identification from the Student Affairs Division.
Academic Gowns and Invitation Cards
- Academic gowns and invitation cards will be issued by the Secretaries of respective Schools starting from Monday, 26 January 2026.
- All academic gowns must be returned immediately after the ceremony before original certificates can be collected.
- Any damage to academic gowns will attract a surcharge.
Security and Access Guidelines
For safety and orderliness, the following security measures will be strictly enforced:
- University security personnel will direct guests to designated parking areas.
- Bags and luggage are strictly prohibited inside the Convocation Square Arena.
- Photographers, hawkers, and vendors are required to pay a registration fee before participating in any activity around the convocation venue and will not be allowed inside the main arena.
Late Arrival Warning
- Graduands will not be allowed entry into the Convocation Square after 10:30 a.m. on the day of the main ceremony.
