As the registration portal of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) opens for prospective corps members, graduates preparing for mobilisation are advised to ensure they have all the required documents ready before visiting any cyber café for their online registration.
The NYSC online registration process involves two major categories of prospective corps members — foreign-trained graduates and home-trained graduates. Each group is required to provide specific documents to successfully complete the registration process. Married female prospective corps members are also required to upload additional documents if they wish to be posted to the same location where their husbands reside.
Below are the key requirements prospective corps members should prepare before beginning the registration process.
PROSPECTIVE CORP MEMBERS SHOULD TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION
During the NYSC online registration, there are two categories of prospective corps members that will register:
1. Foreign Students and
2. Home trained Students.
NYSC Documents for foreign Students needed to take to cyber Cafe are as follow:
- International Passport data page
- Degree or HND Certificate (original not the statement of result)
- O’Level result
- Passport photograph
- Evaluation letter (for those that are yet to be evaluated)
- Resident permit to study in the country
- Transcript
- Visa showing date of arrival and departure from Nigeria
- NIN
NYSC Documents for married women
Married women must upload the following documents to enable NYSC post them to the location where their husbands reside:
- Marriage Certificate
- Newspaper change of Name
- Husband’s ID card
- Utility Bill
- Husband’s domicile letter
ITEMS/DOCUMENTS YOU SHOULD TAKE TO CYBER CAFE FOR NYSC REGISTRATION FOR HOME TRAINED STUDENTS
- Passport photograph (WHITE BACKGROUND)
- Biro to write your signature
- Email account
- Means of online payment (ATM/transfer)
- Cash (about ₦5,000 – around ₦3,000 for NYSC and up to ₦2,000 for cyber café processing)
- Your school matriculation number and JAMB registration number
- NIN
Prospective corps members are advised to carefully prepare these documents ahead of the registration period to avoid delays during the process and ensure successful enrolment for the upcoming NYSC mobilisation exercise.
