NYSC Senate List: How Prospective Corps Members Can Confirm Their Names Before Registration

Ahead of the mobilisation registration exercise, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has advised prospective corps members to confirm that their names appear on the Senate list before attempting to register on the NYSC portal.

For locally trained graduates, appearing on the graduation list issued by their institutions does not automatically qualify them for online registration. The NYSC system only allows registration for candidates whose names have been officially uploaded on the Senate or Academic Board approved list by their respective institutions.

This means that even if a graduate has completed their programme and their name appears on the school’s graduation list, they will not be able to register for NYSC until their institution uploads their details to the official Senate list on the NYSC portal.

Prospective corps members are therefore encouraged to confirm their status on the Senate list once the registration portal opens to avoid unnecessary delays during the mobilisation process.

Below is a simple guide on how to check if your name has been uploaded.

SENATE LIST CHECK

To know if your name is on the Senate list, follow the instructions below:

● Click on the link below
https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/

REMEMBER TO SET YOUR BROWSER TO DESKTOP VIEW ANYTIME YOU ARE USING THE NYSC PORTAL

● Scroll down to “Check Senate List or its Equivalent” and click on it
● Input the required information and click Search

If the portal displays “No record found”, it simply means that your institution has not yet uploaded your details to the Senate list.

Prospective corps members are advised to remain patient and continue checking periodically until their schools complete the upload process. Once the information is successfully uploaded, eligible graduates will then be able to proceed with the NYSC online registration.
