Chrisland University Celebrates Academic Excellence at 7th Convocation

Chrisland University, Abeokuta, Ogun State, was aglow with excitement and celebration as it held its 7th Convocation Ceremony, where a total of 252 students graduated across various disciplines. The highlight of the event was the announcement that 44 students bagged First Class Honours, marking another milestone in the university’s consistent record of academic excellence.

The ceremony, which attracted top dignitaries, parents, and stakeholders in education, showcased the university’s steady progress since its establishment and its commitment to nurturing a new generation of academically outstanding and morally upright graduates.

During the convocation, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oyedunni Sola Arulogun, proudly presented the academic statistics of the 2024/2025 graduating class. She disclosed that out of the 252 students who completed their degree programmes, 44 attained First Class Honours, 133 graduated with Second Class Upper Division, 63 earned Second Class Lower Division, while 12 finished with Third Class Honours.

In her remarks, the Chancellor and Founder of Chrisland Schools, High Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Winifred Awosika, OON, expressed immense pride in the institution’s progress since inception. She highlighted the remarkable growth in student population — from an initial intake of 57 students at the university’s founding to over 1,700 students today.

Professor Arulogun announced that the university recently received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to commence postgraduate programmes in several disciplines.

She also revealed that 10 academic departments recently earned full NUC accreditation status, further affirming the institution’s commitment to maintaining the highest academic standards. These departments include:
