The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) has officially announced the commencement of admission into nine (9) newly approved degree programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session, following the recent approval granted by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
This marks a major academic expansion for FUTMINNA, further cementing its position as one of Nigeria’s leading institutions in science, technology, and innovation-driven education. The new programmes cut across health sciences, life sciences, and technology management, reflecting the university’s commitment to national development and global competitiveness.
According to an official statement signed by the Office of the Registrar, the Pre-Admission Screening Exercise (UPASE) for the newly approved programmes will begin on Saturday, 18th October 2025, and end by midnight of Tuesday, 21st October 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for the Screening Exercise
To qualify for the FUTMINNA 2025/2026 Pre-Admission Screening, candidates must meet the following conditions:
- UTME Candidates Only: Applicants must have selected FUTMINNA as their first choice institution in the 2025 UTME.
- O’ Level Requirements: A minimum of five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be 16 years of age or above by 30th September 2025.
- Cut-Off Marks: Candidates must have attained the minimum JAMB cut-off mark for their chosen course as listed above.
- O’ Level Upload: All candidates must upload their O’ Level results to JAMB CAPS for proper verification.
- Application Fee: A non-refundable fee of ₦2,000 is to be paid via the REMITA payment platform.
Candidates who do not meet the requirements for their chosen programmes will be allowed to change to another course whose requirements they meet during registration.
How to Apply for FUTMINNA 2025/2026 UPASE
- Visit the official FUTMINNA admission portal.
- Click on “2025/2026 UPASE (2025 UTME)”, then select “UPASE–UTME.”
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number and one of your names to log in.
- Confirm your details and, if necessary, choose another course that matches your UTME/O’ Level combinations.
- Proceed to the payment gateway to pay the ₦2,000 screening fee using a Debit Card or by generating an RRR for bank payment.
- After successful payment, verify your details and print your acknowledgement slip for record purposes.
Note: Candidates should keep checking the university’s portal for any updates, as additional information may be released during the admission process.
