A neighbour of Mirabel, the young woman at the centre of a viral rape and poisoning controversy, has come forward during a live TikTok session to dispute her account, casting doubt on the credibility of her claims.
During the live broadcast, the neighbour walked viewers through the compound and apartment building where Mirabel reportedly lives, pointing to the exact locations while repeatedly urging, “This is our compound. This is our apartment. Go to her page and check her videos.” He expressed shock at the claims circulating online. “When we heard that she drank Sniper and she was raped, I was like, what?” he said.
The resident also alleged that Mirabel had previously lied about her mother’s death in December. According to him, she posted online claiming her mother had passed away and received financial contributions from neighbours to support her travel at the time. “Properly, that was a lie,” he insisted.
Questioning the narrative of the assault, the neighbour emphasised that he heard no disturbances from her apartment. “I didn’t hear any shouts. She did not scream,” he said, further disputing claims that the woman was tied up during the alleged incident.
In addition, the neighbour raised doubts about Mirabel’s status as a student, while claiming that different men were often seen visiting her apartment — details that he suggested could indicate inconsistencies in her public account.
The revelations have added a new layer of complexity to a story that has already captured widespread attention online.
