The Students’ Union Government of Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) wishes to formally inform all students that a strategic meeting was held with the Bike Association operating within the campus on 22nd February, 2026. The meeting was convened to address growing concerns over inconsistent transportation charges and to establish a clear, standardized fare structure that protects students from exploitation while ensuring fairness to bike operators.
After thorough deliberations and mutual understanding, both parties reached a binding agreement on the officially approved transportation fares within the school environment.
Approved Fares
From School Gate to any Faculty (excluding SIT):
N200 per person
N300 for two persons
From School Gate to Hostel:
N300 per person
N500 for two persons
From School Gate to SIT, Clinic, or Sport Complex to Hostel:
N300 per person
N500 for two persons
These rates are the only approved and recognized fares within the campus. Any bike rider who charges above the stated amounts is acting in direct violation of the agreement reached with the Students’ Union.
Students are therefore strongly advised not to pay any amount higher than the approved fares. In situations where a rider insists on overcharging, kindly take note of the bike plate number and report the matter immediately to the Students’ Union for prompt action.
The Union remains committed to protecting the welfare and financial interests of all students. By the grace of God, any rider found guilty of violating this agreement will face strict disciplinary action, including suspension from operating within the school premises.
We urge all students to cooperate and remain vigilant to ensure that this agreement is respected and properly enforced for the benefit of the entire student body.
Signed,
Students’ Union Government
FUTMINNA
