The Ogun State Police Command has issued an official update regarding the rape allegation made online by TikTok personality Abigeal Nsikak, popularly known as Mirabel.
In a press statement released on February 25, 2026, and signed by Police Public Relations Officer DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, the Command confirmed that Mirabel reported to the police station and was subsequently taken to a medical facility for examination to verify her claims. According to the statement, she has continued to cooperate with investigators as due process unfolds.

The police further disclosed that, considering her welfare and support needs, she has been released to the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development. The Ministry has reportedly taken responsibility for her care and assured authorities that she will be made available whenever required as investigations continue.
The Command emphasized that the matter is being handled with professionalism, sensitivity, and diligence, while urging members of the public to refrain from speculation and allow the investigation to proceed without interference. Authorities also noted that further updates would be provided as necessary.
The development follows widespread public attention after Mirabel shared allegations online, prompting official intervention by law enforcement authorities.
