The streaming giant has officially announced that Winona Ryder, widely recognized for her roles in Stranger Things and several Tim Burton classics, will join the cast in a guest-starring role. Production on the new season is already underway in Dublin, Ireland, promising a continuation of the darkly whimsical adventures at Nevermore Academy.

Ryder will portray a new character named Tabitha, marking a reunion with director Tim Burton and lead actress Jenna Ortega, who plays Wednesday Addams. This collaboration revives the creative magic of previous Burton projects, generating excitement among fans eager to see how the veteran actress integrates into the series’ gothic universe.

Speaking on Ryder’s addition, Tim Burton said, “I’m so excited to be back for Season 3, and it’s great to be reunited with all of the original cast. The addition of some dear friends and past collaborators of mine — Winona, Eva, Chris, Noah… makes this season extra special. I feel very lucky.” He further emphasized, “I am so happy that Winona has joined us; she fits right into this world. And she’s a dear friend. I always feel lucky to work with her.”

Alongside Ryder, the third season will welcome several new cast members including Chris Sarandon as Balthazar, Noah Taylor as Cyrus, Oscar Morgan as Atticus, Kennedy Moyer as Daisy, and Eva Green in the role of Aunt Ophelia, Morticia Addams’ sister. They join the returning ensemble, which features Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, and Luis Guzmán as Gomez.
