The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA), affectionately called The Purple Citadel has just achieved a historic milestone in African higher education. Regionally, FUTMINNA was recognised as the 9th Best University in West Africa, highlighting its growing academic reputation beyond national borders.

In a significant continental achievement announced today, FUTMINNA was honoured as the 44th Best University in Sub‑Saharan Africa — a remarkable recognition that places the university among the elite academic institutions across the region.
