JAMB 2027 Registration Guide: Date, Requirements, Portal and How to Register

JAMB 2027 registration is the first step every candidate who wants to enter a Nigerian university, polytechnic, or college of education must take. This guide covers everything you need to know — from creating your JAMB profile to printing your confirmation slip — so you can register without mistakes.

When Is JAMB 2027 Registration?

JAMB has not officially announced the 2027 registration date yet. However, based on the pattern of previous years, registration typically opens between January and February. For reference, JAMB 2026 registration opened in January 2026 and closed in February 2026, with the UTME examination held in April and May 2026. Candidates planning to sit JAMB 2027 should begin gathering their requirements from October 2026.

Requirements for JAMB 2027 Registration

  • National Identification Number (NIN): Mandatory. Register at any NIMC office or through licensed enrollment agents well in advance.
  • Valid email address: Create a dedicated email address for your JAMB registration.
  • Phone number: A functioning Nigerian phone number linked to your NIN.
  • O’Level result: WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB — can be entered later if not yet released.
  • Passport photograph: Recent passport-size photo on a white background.
  • ₦3,500 registration fee: Payment made at designated banks or JAMB e-Payment system.

How to Create Your JAMB Profile

  1. Send your NIN to 55019 via SMS from your registered phone number to receive a token.
  2. Go to www.jamb.gov.ng and click “Create Profile”.
  3. Enter the token, your NIN, email address, and create a password.
  4. Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox.
  5. Your profile is created — keep your login credentials safe.

How to Register for JAMB UTME 2027

  1. Log in to your JAMB profile and click “UTME/DE Registration”.
  2. Select “UTME”, your preferred state and CBT centre.
  3. Choose your first and second choice of institution and courses.
  4. Select four UTME subjects — English Language must be one of the four.
  5. Upload your passport photograph and enter O’Level details.
  6. Pay the ₦3,500 fee and print your registration slip.
